A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SCHEDULER In this customer service position with our home health care office, you play an essential role in scheduling patient visits. Working alongside other managers and members of staff, you coordinate the schedule while keeping the needs of patients a top priority. You handle the responsibilities for our on-call rotation and maintain tracking according to our policies. For the well-being of our patients, you ensure that they are not seen by multiple individuals from the same discipline if possible and promptly inform management if any type of visit cannot be performed by the RN case manager. In addition, you run daily and weekly reports as requested and notify management of any issues that arise. Always punctual and reliable, you maintain regular attendance and accomplish any tasks that come your way. You assist other office staff as needed to ensure the operations of our agency always run smoothly. At times, you assist with orientation for new nurses and participate in training activities, so you are able to continuously evolve in your position. You love having a job where you serve in such an important role to keep our office in order, which is why you thrive in this scheduling position! QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SCHEDULER High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge about Microsoft Word and Excel Knowledge about minor office equipment such as a fax machine and copier Ability to communicate information regarding a patient's condition to the appropriate staff member Excellent customer service skills Do you have excellent verbal and written communication skills? Can you handle confidential information with discretion? Are you able to work well independently and make good decisions? Can you balance multiple tasks while demonstrating good time management?
