The Program Coordinator is responsible for facilitating daily operations under program management, purchasing and ordering supplies, upholding program data collection & reporting, and training volunteers and interns. This position is located primarily at Tanner Project. Candidates must submit application by 05/05/2023 in order to be considered for first round interviews. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required of this position. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE An Associate's Degree in Human Services or a related field; two years of case management or social service experience; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preference given to applicants who have completed Certified Peer Support Specialist training, and/or are CPR & First aid trained. Must have three years' experience serving in the armed forces or working with veterans and veteran families. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Driver qualification status not required for this position. Candidate must pass a comprehensive MWVCAA background screening prior to employment. Must obtain Food Handler's Card. This position is subject to MWVCAA's Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. The employee will also perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor and other management as required. Facilitates the daily operations of services. Purchases and orders supplies as needed. Trains volunteers and interns in program policies and procedures. Promotes a safe and healing environment for individuals that are victims of extreme trauma. Organizes support groups, workshops, and activities for program guests and residents. PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities. Maintains calm dispositions and regulates emotions when clients, staff, or others may become escalated. Regulates emotions and handles pressure of frequent demands for attention, time and work tasks. Attends and engages in required annual trainings. Specific vision abilities are required of this position. Frequently required to hear and speak. Occasionally operates a motor vehicle as needed to perform duties at sites or client locations. Frequently lift up to 25 pounds. Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Manual dexterity for handling computers, devices and office equipment. WORK ENVIRONMENT Occasional urgent situations requiring law enforcement involvement and/or paramedic professionals. Close quarters, often with a client population experiencing homelessness, substance us disorders, and/or severe and persistent mental illness, and/or unpredictable behavior. Occasional exposure to trash, bodily fluids and malodorous air. Potential risk of exposure to COVID-19 and other infectious conditions. PPE, face coverings may be required. Indoor work environment with frequent interruptions and demands. Occasional outdoor environment. * COVID-19 Alert: This position includes performing essential services during the COVID-19 pandemic and potential exposure to others who may be infected with the virus.
