Drivetrain Test Engineer Waterloo, Iowa - Full Time Productive Resources ( www.productiveresources.com ) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Waterloo, Iowa. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will plan and execute lab-based test activities supporting new product development and continuous improvement projects of drivetrain systems. This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization. Duties: Manage test bay operations. Communicate current test status. Test Setup Generate installation/setup work order. Resolve setup issues working with support teams. Shakedown and troubleshoot test article and test sequences. Verify test limits / shutdowns. Run tests. Create test work orders. Analyze Test Data (knowledge w/ MatLab, Diadem, nCode is useful) Test Documentation and Communication Perform root cause analysis for problem solving / failure resolution with Stakeholder. Determine conclusions/results from test. Determine pass / fail - meets / does not meet acceptance criteria. Effective oral and written communication to Generate test reports, write business correspondence and develop procedures. Communicate results to stakeholders. Requirements: Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution - Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge. Knowledge in engineering principles, theory, and practice as well as drivetrain product knowledge - Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge. Preferred Skills: Experience with Data Processing Tools (for example - MatLab, Diadem, nCode). Utilize data to drive engineering decisions. Skill in project management As a condition of employment consideration, Productive Resources conducts pre-employment screening, including a background check and drug test.
