The Dishwasher's role is to support the daily operations of production and catering departments by maintaining a safe, clean, and sanitary work area. This position reports to the Executive Chef. RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following, but are not limited to: Ensures the Kitchen environment is always cleaned to standard. Ensures the Kitchen is neat, tidy, and well supplied. Ensures glassware is cleaned and silverware ready for servers. Follows all safety and sanitation guidelines. Keeps plates and cookware cleaned and restocked. Keeps floors cleaned and mopped as directed. Minimally lifts 25 pounds. Checks in with the Kitchen Supervisor after coming on and before leaving shift. Adheres to all Zilli Hospitality Group safety rules and regulations. Keeps busy during downtimes. REQUIREMENTS Demonstrated dependability. Solid organization skills - able to prioritize tasks and follow directions. Manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Accurate and attentive to details. Deadline driven. Good verbal interpersonal skills and ability to work with multiple personalities in confined space - teamwork is key. Valid driver's license and access to insured transportation (preferred but not mandatory). Continuous repetitive motion abilities - such as standing, reaching, bending, lifting, carrying, walking, and lifting during 90% of shift. (Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push a cart weighing 150 pounds.) Dishwashers will frequently have their hands submerged in HOT water (160*F), and work with ware-washing chemicals. ADDITIONAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES Ability to read, analyze and interpret basic business procedures. Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey basic business procedures and to effectively respond to common questions from internal office associates.
