The Organization: Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District is home to 18,000+ residents. Formed initially as Williamson County Municipal Utility District No. 2 in 1977, BCMUD provides water and wastewater services, recreational activities, beautiful gardens, parks, and miles of trails through the Brushy Creek community. BCMUD operates four swimming pools, four tennis courts, and a disc golf course throughout the community. At the heart of our District is the Brushy Creek Community Center. Our Community Center features two gyms, two racketball courts, weight room, rock wall, and recreational programming, including various fun activities, educational and fitness classes. Brushy Creek employs approximately 190 seasonal, part-time, and full-time team members. Pool Shift Lead: Brushy Creek MUD is hiring Seasonal Pool Shift Leads to be responsible for conducting operations at the pool, which include preventing and responding to emergency situations, maintaining, and cleaning the pool facility, and providing exceptional customer service to the patrons of the pool. Job Duties: Prevent accidents and minimizes or eliminates hazardous situations. Enters lifeguard on-deck rotation when additional zone coverage is needed. Respond quickly to all emergency situations in the water and performs water rescues. Communicate with Head Lifeguard and Aquatics Supervisor the need for additional assistance or equipment. Observe and enforces all rules and regulations of the facility pertaining to both team members and patrons. Educate the team members and patrons and informs them of the purpose of and the need for rules and regulations. Assists Head Guards with In-Service trainings. Prepare and maintains appropriate activity reports and logs. Organize pre-and post- shift cleaning duties. Performs hourly chlorine and pH checks keeping Head Guard informed of readings outside of ideal parameters. Assists with various pool maintenance functions such as but not limited to cleaning the pool and surrounding deck areas, cleaning office and restroom facilities. Responsible for handling questions and concerns from patrons. Presents and maintains a professional appearance and demeanor, including wearing appropriate uniform or attire and exhibiting respect and enthusiasm as duties and responsibilities are carried out. Responsible for cash and pool receipts including balancing ledger at the end of shift . Minimum Requirement: Must have an American Red Cross Lifeguarding with First Aid and CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer certification. Schedule: Seasonal-open availability to work various days and times. A minimum of 15 hours a week is required.
