The Position : We are looking for a Supervisor to manage and direct the hourly work force within the Industrial Wire Mill department. Responsibilities: Manage daily shift operations of the Industrial Wire Mill department Supervise 20-30 hourly Union employees in assigned area Responsible for compliance to all safety standards, programs and meetings Responsible for compliance to all quality and production standards Interface effectively with other members of supervision and personnel from other departments and ISWA personnel Responsible for engagement of assigned workforce, safety, productivity, and quality Responsible for housekeeping, yield, and process control Other duties as assigned to meet Liberty goals and objectives as required Responsible for 2nd or 3rd shift Requirements: 1 - 5 years of industrial supervisory experience preferred. Consideration of supervisory roles outside of manufacturing may be a substitute High school or equivalent required. Assertive and goal oriented. A self starter with positive attitude. Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills. Must be organized and capable of handling multiple tasks and priorities. Must be capable of using personal computers and Microsoft software. Knowledge of heavy equipment operations and material handling is a plus Ability to comprehend complex machinery and problem solve Ability to multi-task and execute on decisions PAY RANGE: $56,825 - $71,031 The Location: Liberty Steel & Wire is based in Peoria, IL.
