Employment Specialist Full-time Employment Specialist with benefits (I/DD Skills Needed) Who Are We: InReach provides various supports and services across the lifespan for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and their families. We focus on each individual's unique needs and deliver the highest quality services possible by ensuring that each individual receives the right support, at the right time and frequency by a caring qualified staff member in the most independent setting appropriate. What We Need: The Employment Specialist assists adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities in searching for jobs, following up on job leads, participate as needed through the entire hiring process and provide on-the-job training as needed. Also responsible for networking with employers in the Charlotte area to help develop new partnerships with employers for future job placements. Qualifications and Licensing Requirements: One-year Supported Employment/Job Coach experience working with I/DD & Special populations A high school diploma or GED required Willing to provide customer transportation using your vehicle Valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record Hours: Varies upon I/DD individual needs. Typically, an 8-hour shift. Might need occasional evenings or weekend hours. Flexible. Rate : $16.00 per hour Job Type : Full-time with benefits 40 hours per week Bonus: $500 sign-on bonus!! $250 at hire, and the remaining $250 after 6 months of employment. What You'll Do: Support customers with a job of their choice in all aspects of job seeking, i.e., writing resumes, looking for work, applying for jobs, attending interviews, attending job orientations, and providing on-the-job training Support customers in other vocational services to seek, train, and maintain employment Help customers explore new things, pursue their interests, & help with socialization Responsible to oversee customer participation in activities as described in the goal plan Maintain the health and safety of everyone Provide reliable transportation Maintains credentials (training) Assure confidentiality Benefits: Health Insurance Paid Holiday time Paid Vacation time Paid Sick leave Life Insurance Dental reimbursement program 401-K Mileage reimbursement All InReach applicants are required to have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and successfully pass a drug screen and background check.
