A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CAGE SUPERVISOR As a Cage Supervisor, you are responsible for providing support to the Cage team assigned to your shift, so the team can provide each of the employees and guests of Indian Head Casino with assistance in a supportive, courteous, and efficient manner. You are responsible for overseeing Cage operations, ensuring that the established policies, procedures, and internal controls are being followed by all Cage staff and that the department is providing the highest level of guest service to all. With attention to accuracy, you perform customer service functions while assisting both the Cage staff and other employees during your shift. You directly supervise the Cage Cashiers and Main Bank Cashiers including training, observing, and providing helpful feedback on both a daily basis as well as assisting the Cage Manager with annual performance reviews. You identify areas for improvement and work with the Cage team to implement those improvements, ensuring adherence to company policy and written procedure. With confidence, you direct and lead the Cage staff that are under your supervision to ensure that organizational goals are met in the most timely and efficient manner. You engage your love of details by ensuring that all required forms are completed, that jackpots are paid accurately, and that all standard procedures are adhered to. You also assist with the preparation of monthly reports and annual audits. Your interpersonal communication skills come into play as you assist employees and guests in navigating tribal and federal gaming regulations and guidelines. Eager to learn and improve your own knowledge, you participate regularly in continuing education and apply the latest best practices to your work. You are knowledgeable of Microsoft Office programs particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook. You love playing an integral part in the success of a company that provides fantastic value and also gives back to the community ! QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CAGE SUPERVISOR High school diploma or equivalent required A minimum of one year of gaming Cage experience preferred, six months of Main Bank experience strongly preferred. Minimum of one year of supervisory experience, ideally in a cash handling operation, preferred. Knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act preferred. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality Excellent interpersonal communication skills required Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Professional appearance and demeanor Willingness to submit to a drug screening and background check upon hire Ability to obtain and maintain a high-security gaming license 21+ years of age Previous experience working in a tribal casino organization would be a plus.
