Position Summary Reporting to the Quality Assurance and Safety Manager, this role is accountable for Safety assurance to internal and external compliance requirements for Aerospace Manufacturing and Production. Functional roles as the organizational Safety professional include consulting on program and project operational planning, job hazard analysis and detailed reporting of workplace hazards. Candidates must demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail and commitment to compliance and structured performance This role requires a self-directing candidate to take complete inventory and audit of the work required and set a detailed completion schedule under minimal supervision Accountable ownership of the Hazardous Chemical Stream (Procurement, Transportation, Handling, Waste and Communication) Safety related area checklist and required immediate actions to ensure a compliance to Work Place Accident, Injury and Lost Time Prevention Daily, Weekly and Monthly accomplishment of planned surveillance activities, and efforts coordinated with Manufacturing, Labs and Safety Managers Facilitate, support and generate specific training modules and information related to employee awareness and policy requirement. Create and manage a Safety Culture, employee engagement efforts related to Safety and promotion of a safe work environment MINIMUM EXPERIENCE 1-2 Years Industrial, Aerospace or Automotive experience preferred, previous Military or Defense agency applicants are encourage to apply. Substitutions for Trade or industry experience, or certification will be accepted and verified Chemical Waste Handling, First Aid / First Responder or Industrial Engineering are preferred, candidates will be required to demonstrate suitable job history experience pertinent to the opportunity EDUCATION 1-2 Year degree, STEM or Industrial Engineering Preferred. TECHNICAL or TRADE CERTIFICATION can be substituted in lieu of Academic Diploma Industrial certifications (OSHA, NFPA, GHS and IE) are highly desired Experience, certification or training in Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA) and Environmental Protection Agency preferred.
