Peters and Yaffee, Inc. is currently seeking an Traffic Engineer to join our Traffic Group in our Jacksonville, Florida office.This is an excellent career opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join a team of outstanding professionals. The individual will work as part of a team in all facets of traffic engineering including design of signing and pavement marking plans, development of maintenance and protection of traffic plans, traffic signal design and development of traffic studies for a variety of project types and clients. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (with emphasis in Transportation preferred) 4+ years' experience Traffic Study Experience (traffic impact studies, no-passing zone studies, speed studies, traffic calming studies, Etc.) Familiarity with FDOT's Manual on Uniform Traffic Studies (MUTS) Designing and developing signing and pavement marking plans and/or traffic signal plans Experience with FDOT Design Standards, Plans Preparation Manuals and Specifications Experience with Traffic Engineering Software (HCS, Synchro, Tru-Traffic, GuidSIGN) Strong verbal and written communication skills a plus Microstation Experience including Geopak applications and an understanding of how to produce contract drawings Proficiency in MS Office software Desire to work in a team environment Professional Engineer is desired but must have a Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) minimum Peters and Yaffee, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/ Affirmative Action Employer.
