Job Summary: Under general supervision, performs preventive maintenance services and inspects, diagnoses and repairs vehicles and equipment. A- Shift Schedule: 7am - 4pm or 8am - 5pm B-Shift Schedule: 11am - 8pm or 12pm - 9pm Key Responsibilities: Perform maintenance tasks. Perform Preventative Maintenance Inspections Thoroughly identify defects requiring correction, which would affect the availability of the equipment and the safety of the equipment operator. Make adjustments to brakes, clutches, and other utilities that are part of the vehicle or other equipment. Make adjustments to brakes, clutches, and other utilities that are part of the vehicle or other equipment. Make adjustments to hydraulic pressures and other hydraulic components of any equipment. Perform tire changes and repairs. Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns. Build, rebuild or replace hydraulic components and hoses of any vehicle or stationery equipment. Operate the grinders and sanders. Perform accurate Lockout/Tagout procedures Perform all job duties in accordance with company safety policies and regulations. Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Company/ OSHA Standards and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year experience inspecting, troubleshooting and repairing trucks and stationary equipment Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States Ability to become capable of major component repair and rebuilding Ability to become capable in the use of diagnostic tools Physical requirements: Listed below are key points regarding environmental demands and work environment of the job. Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) most of the workday. Required to exert physical effort in handling objects less than 50 pounds most of the workday. Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc.) often. Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements often. Normal setting for this job is: repair/maintenance shop.
