Job Description: Arcadia University's College of Arts and Sciences invites applications for a non-tenure track position as Assistant Professor in Forensic Toxicology starting September 2023.Consideration of applications will begin upon receipt and will continue until the position is filled. Information about our FEPAC accredited master's program in Forensic Science at Arcadia University's Department of Chemistry and Physics is available at here Location: Glenside Responsibilities : The Assistant Professor of Forensic Toxicology is a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure-track faculty position. A doctorate degree in forensic toxicology or a closely related discipline is required; experience as academic or practitioner is preferred. Teach graduate courses in forensic toxicology and forensic science related fields and engage graduate students in research projects Pursue a sustained research agenda and attract, advise, and mentor forensic science students in collaboration with faculty members Enhance the status of the forensic science program nationally and internationally Serve on university committees as requested or designated Seek and obtain external grants within the program Qualifications : A doctorate degree in Forensic Toxicology or a forensic science related field A minimum of two years of academic or practitioner experience in Forensic Toxicology or a related Forensic Science discipline is preferred An ongoing research program with a successful record of publications in peer-reviewed journals A commitment to high-quality instruction in a graduate student-centered environment is expected Strong leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff members Excellent planning and organizational skills at both the conceptual and fine detail levels Adept interpersonal and communication skills within and beyond the program Skillful problem-solving capabilities with people, programs, and logistics An ability to work effectively in a team environment within the program, its affiliates, the College of Arts and Sciences, and Arcadia University Ability to demonstrate sensitivity and knowledge about diversity, equity, and inclusion and embrace opportunities for continued growth in cultural competence is expected.
