The following is the job description summary for the position of Deputy Sheriff for the Pickens Sheriff's Office. YOU MUST BE P.O.S.T CERTIFIED BEFORE APPLYING. General law enfrocement work responsible for proteting life and property within Pickens County; enforcing traffic regulations, state laws and county ordinances; responding to emergency situations, citizen requests for assistance, and alarms; and conducting investigations in response to reported or discovered criminal activity. A superior officer reviews work assignments and gives specific instructions and assistance when guidance or back-up is needed. Work requires independent judgement and discretion in difficult or unusual situation. Work involves personal danger. Annual Salary $53,440.00 + incentive pay for additional and advanced education and certifications. Longevity pay with our agency is an additional $0.50 an hour at 3 years, 5, years, 10 years, 15 years, 20 years. Job Posted by ApplicantPro
