This role will also help with gross and import dictations, stain, coverslips and deliver slides to the Clinical Services Team for distribution, and tissue processing. Additional duties may include molecular extractions, inventory, waste management, QC, ordering, and lot-lot testing. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Histotechnologist B.S. degree or Board Certified as Histotechnologist, (or currently enrolled in a program) with an Associates Degree in a science background, or equivalent with 4-7 years experience, preferred in a clinical, research, and/or development environment. The Histotechnologists in the clinical laboratory are placed on a track towards obtaining American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Histotechnician (HT)/Histotechnologist (HTL) board certification if not already credentialed upon hire and are expected to obtain such certification within 2 years of employment and or equivalent experience will also be considered. At least 6 months (1 year preferred) of technical proficiency in histological methodology and specialized analytical techniques The typical workday is Mon-Fri from 8:30 AM - 5:00 pm from our Pittsburgh, PA, @ Nova Place Lab location.
