St. Charles Community College is located just west of St. Louis, in the heart of growing St. Charles County. At St. Charles Community College, we have a passion for student success. We serve a growing diverse student population, and we are committed to increasing the diversity of our faculty and staff who will help prepare our students for a global society. Qualified candidates will have demonstrated success in serving diverse student populations. SCC invites qualified candidates to apply for our pooled part-time faculty positions to teach Graphic Design and/or Studio Art courses this upcoming Spring 2023 . Part-time appointments made on a semester-by-semester (as needed) basis. Skills currently needed: Studio Art Areas of Emphasis: Art Appreciation Art History 2-D Design Color Theory Drawing Photography Qualifications for Studio Art Faculty: Master Fine Art or Master of Art History (depending on courses we have open) Specialized areas of emphasis will be considered on a course-by-course basis according to course offerings. Graphic Design Areas of Emphasis: Visualization & Layout Digital Imaging & Illustration Typography Web & Interactive Design Animation & Motion Graphics Video Production Portfolio Design & Professional Practices, etc. Platform proficiencies required: Apple OS and iOS Software proficiencies required: Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Wordpress, Flash, Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, iMovie, Maya, Mudbox, Axure, Balsamique, etc. Qualifications for Graphic Design Faculty: Master Fine Art or Bachelor Fine Art Commensurate design practitioner/field experience required. Specialized areas of emphasis will be considered on a course-by-course basis according to course offerings.
