We are actively looking for a talented DevOps Intern at SpiderRock Platform Services, LLC to participate in our 2023 Summer Internship Program . The role will work with our Enterprise Operations team that is integral for the management, monitoring, and quality assurance process of our low latency proprietary financial trading platform. The role will learn side-by-side with our seasoned DevOps Manager, talented software engineers, and our integral client support team. You must be highly motivated and open to learn at a fast pace. Our Summer Intern Mentorship program consists of one-on-one learning sessions with our Senior Internship Program Leader. You will be able to take that knowledge learned, put it into practice, and have the opportunity to work in a couple of different teams. You will gain professional work experience and may potentially have the opportunity for full time employment upon graduation. We expect our interns to be active in their learning process, participate in their development, and contribute to our projects. As an ideal candidate, you will have had exposure to Python, mySQL, and/or Javascript. This is an hourly position and will be reporting to our Senior Internship Program Leader. What You Will Do: Learn side-by-side with our DevOps Manager Exposure to financial markets and how that is essential to our business Work on Agile Scrum sessions while learning the Agile methodology Exposure to DevOps processes Work on Agile Scrum team and learn our Agile Work with software engineers, IT, and client support teams Deep dive learning sessions on the SpiderRock software philosophy Troubleshoot and resolution What SpiderRock Is Looking For: Students that are pursuing on their bachelor's degree Studying Computer Science, Math, Data Science, or a related field Demonstrative experience in Python, Javascript, or Golang Debugging and a passion for problem solving Excellent programming skills Strong work ethic and collaboration skills Professional, motivated attitude Strong interpersonal skills Here's What to Expect: Paid internship scheduled between 10-12 weeks Network and collaborate with seasoned professionals Summers are fun in Chicago - Great restaurants, neighborhood festivals, airshow, beautiful lakefront, concerts (i.e., Lollapalooza) Dynamic workforce environment Team oriented mentoring and shadowing Will work on projects right away as you start learning our methodology and our platform Access to unlimited snacks and beverages in our lounge area Monthly team events (Happy Hours) State of the art office A fun and collaborative environment Interview Engagement: Prescreen -> Team Panel Interview -> Senior Leadership Interview Coding take home test If given offer, must complete a background and reference check Interviews may be done virtually and/or onsite SpiderRock is an Equal Opportunity Employer Job Posted by ApplicantPro
