JOB TITLE: Facilities ManagerReports to: Director of Retail Operations Department: Retail OperationsFLSA Status: Exempt Supervises: Warehouse Maintenance and other warehouse staffJob Summary: Responsible for the coordination and performance of maintenance projects, building,grounds and equipment maintenance. The Facilities Manager will oversee all maintenance, safety, riskfleet and building-related activities at all Goodwill of Southeastern Michigan (GWSEMI) locations. TheFacilities Manager will be responsible for preserving the good condition of infrastructure and ensuring thatall GWSEMI facilities are safe and well-functioning. The Facilities Manager's goal is to ensure ourbusiness's accommodation is problem-free and safe so that employees can work under the bestconditions. Essential Functions:1. Works in various areas at all locations as needed. This includes but is not limited to: TransportationDepartment, Maintenance Department, Contracts Department, and Store locations.2. Responsible for Safety and Risk Management at all GWSEMI locations. Performs regular safety/riskinspections as required by our outside safety partners.3. Responsible for the GWSEMI Fleet Management program.4. Perform highly diversified duties to maintain store and the plant facility's equipment, fixtures, orbuilding.5. Works with and directs Maintenance to provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment andbuilding.6. Responsible for scheduled maintenance repairs or service of equipment and building and ensuresdocumentation of repairs or service.7. Initiates purchase requisitions and maintains the inventory of department supplies.8. Responsible for regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.9. Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to propersupervision then initiates repairs.10. Responsible for oversight of ground maintenance including lawn care and snow removal.11. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.12. Responsible for maintaining hazardous materials program.13. Oversees the security installation and repair at all GWSEMI locations.14. Submits budget requests and strategic plan goals to the Director of Retail Operations.15. Initiates and completes documentation of quality and contract jobs.Additional Responsibilities:1. Supervises the Maintenance department staff.2. Carries out additional duties as assigned by the Director of Retail Operations.3. Prepares purchase requests for supplies and submits to the Director of Retail Operations.4. Promotes and demonstrates cooperation and teamwork.5. Maintains and implements applicable safety laws and regulations.6. Maintains Goodwill's or contract company's safety standards within areas of responsibilities.7. Attends or conducts assigned meetings and training.8. CARF: Ensure documentation and compliance with CARF standards.9. Safety: Maintain applicable safety standards, rules, and regulations in areas of responsibility.10. Stakeholder Focused: Work with integrity and provide exemplary customer services to internal andexternal stakeholders.11. Accountability: Have key metrics that drive performance taking a leadership role in maximizing thesocial and financial return of the community resources invested in Goodwill.13. Strategic Visioning: Commitment to innovation, continuous learning, and leading change in creatingcommunity value.14. Professionalism: Demonstrate a genuine interest in serving the needs of others and a positiveattitude toward the community, co-workers, and individuals we serve. Represent the organization tothe public with a courteous, helpful and business-like attitude.Education and/or Experience:High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Industrial experience preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Have good organizational skills, be computer literate, and be able to work a flexible schedule. Experienceworking with persons with disabilities preferred. Have a valid driver's license, personal auto insurance andbe able to drive from location to location. Able to be licensed to operate a forklift and able to operatemanual lifts.Physical Demands and Work Environment:Must be able to bend, stretch, reach, and lift up to 40 pounds, walking or standing to a significant degree,exposed to extreme temperatures, noise, fumes, dust, etc.Job Description Review:I understand this job description and its requirements, and that I am expected to complete all duties asassigned.
