This role will be based in our Norwood, MA manufacturing facility. OVERVIEW OF ROLE: The Driver is responsible for the safe operation of Company vehicles in the movement of Home Market Foods' material. As a key member of the Logistics and Transportation department, the Driver will have the opportunity to provide their expertise to a dynamic and growing organization. This is for the 2nd shift and hours are 3:30pm-2:00am on the following days - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesday and Saturday are on an as needed basis and will be paid at the overtime rate. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the proper operations of Company vehicles - semi-trailer units Timely delivery of product to the customer Accurate maintenance of delivery records Proper maintenance of government and Company logs within time limits Assist with the inspection of material to be shipped for leaks and non-conformity Proper application of Company and USDA regulations as they apply to storage and shipment of product Assist with carrying out all safety regulations Maintain through conduct, appearance and attitude a high level of customer satisfaction Assist other drivers where needed Other duties assigned EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent required Class "A" CDL Driver's License required DOT medical regulation card Proficient in English PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The below physical demands are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
