POSITION SUMMARY: The Quality and Patient Safety Facility Coordinator, under general supervision, is responsible for clinical education, for all company clinical facilities by way of providing clinical support of departmental clinical staff (MA, LVN, RN, etc.) activities, provides regulatory oversite and support of Employee Health operations, ensures adherence to policies, procedures, standards, and regulations and promotes the organizational goals and vision of quality health services. Unio Health Partners will cover expenses for approved attendance at relevant industry associated conferences and trainings in order to remain up to date on regulatory standards. This position requires a flexible individual who can deal with a wide range of personalities and responsibilities and extensive travel across the Unio organization. The individual needs to be highly organized and motivated. This position also requires the individual to be able to prioritize the workload while working independently and to have the initiative to think problems through and seek assistance when needed. This position is based in the Los Angeles area of Southern California and requires travel to all Unio Health Partners (UHP) affiliated clinics including to Southern, Central and Northern California locations, which may involve overnight stays. What you will be doing: Supports clinical functions for staff to provide patient care in all clinical settings, evaluates care and ensures patient satisfaction, provides leadership in clinical problem solving, and serves as liaison with physicians regarding clinical/nursing issues. This requires visits to each clinical facility on a regular and ongoing basis in order to monitor and oversee compliance with clinical operations. Working with clinic management, assists in orienting clinical staff to their clinical job responsibilities and provides timely feedback, evaluates adherence to standard operating procedures and schedules in-services/training as needed, tracks training provided/required, and ensures all clinical staff are following company policies and procedures and maintaining clinical compliance and clinical competence throughout the organization. Maintains clinical skills and knowledge necessary to provide support and monitoring of regulatory and clinical standards in the areas of urology, radiation oncology, and gastroenterology. Ensures that all employees are knowledgeable of all clinical policies and procedures, and rules and regulations, including the responsibility to comply with all applicable laws, and organizational policies and procedures, as well as reporting mechanisms. Ensures department activities and records are in adherence to company policies and standards, ensuring proper completion of all clinical logs and reporting this information to the Quality & Safety staff.
