A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RECEIVING AND INVENTORY CONTROL SPECIALIST As a Receiving and Inventory Controller with our sustainable technology company, your day is filled with exciting tasks aimed at ensuring the smooth operation of our organization's inventory management systems. Every morning, you arrive at the warehouse with energy and enthusiasm, ready to tackle the day ahead. You start by reviewing the inventory levels and making note of any low-stock items that need to be replenished. With a keen eye for detail, you begin the process of receiving purchase parts and stock, ensuring that each item is correctly labeled and placed in its designated location. Your commitment to accuracy and organization is what makes you an essential part of the supply chain team. As the day progresses, you update the computer database and troubleshoot any receipt discrepancies with manufacturing and inspection personnel. You take pride in your work in logistics and are determined to ensure that all inventory records are accurate and up-to-date. In this supply chain role, you prepare monthly reports for cycle counts and picklist counts, using your insights to identify areas for improvement and celebrate successes. You work tirelessly to develop an accurate and consistent inventory reporting structure, which helps the company to better track inventory levels and optimize its operations. Your focus on organization is evident in the way you maintain the inventory locations, ensuring that they are clean and properly labeled. You receive finished goods into the Made2Manage (M2M) system and place them in the correct inventory location, working closely with other departments to identify any changes in the production schedule. You are adaptable and quick-thinking, making adjustments as needed to ensure that inventory levels are maintained. As the day draws to a close, you end on a high note, accurately picking parts from inventory and preparing them for assembly based on sales order needs and schedules. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the parts and assembly transport carts ensures optimal production flow. In this logistics position, you are an integral part of the supply chain team. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A RECEIVING AND INVENTORY CONTROL SPECIALIST Previous experience with warehousing or similar inventory control processes Proficient in Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Word, Excel) Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience with Made2Manage (M2M) or an equivalent ERP system is preferred. We are looking for a flexible individual willing to do what it takes to learn the necessary skills from our supply chain team.
