EMServices Specialist | Murrysville 7 to 4p and 8 to 5p rotating shift. Description: In accordance with management directives this position provides expertise with mobile fleet or stationary equipment, preventative & predictive maintenance repair recommendations, and timely communications to internal sales and service personnel as well as the customer base. Essential Functions: This position mandates that the employee be able to perform all of the following functions: Utilize Caterpillar and dealer machine/asset technical information resources; Revue Product Link, VisionLink, or other Telematics systems to gather machine data and track assets; Analyze SOS fluid analysis, machine/asset history information, and on-board/off-board machine data; Monitor engine, fuel burn rates, and powertrain/hydraulic component design life per Cat and Dealer specifications; Utilize computer and literature based information to determine recommendations; Assemble digital Condition Monitoring recommendations for use in internal and external reporting; Develop, generate, and review accurate daily, monthly, and annual reports as required; Substitute for other positions in the department as needed, and other functions as assigned by necessity. Summary of Duties: This position will track, monitor, and analyze technical information, or other data used in mobile and/or stationary asset fleet management; Use and maintain an electronic database or software application to evaluate and assemble vital information for distribution to the customer base, sales, rental, or service department personnel; Review Customer Value Agreement (CVA) machine health inspection report results; Develop Condition Monitoring and machine health information into a digital report; Initiate follow-up actions with internal and external contacts as necessary; Attend seminars and training as approved by management; Operate computers, office equipment and perform other office related duties as required. Knowledge and Skills Required: Thorough understanding of Caterpillar mobile and/or stationary assets, and other equipment used in earth moving, rental, and industrial applications; Understanding of operating risk associated with varying customer job site applications, maintenance products and industry demands ; Advanced skills with SIS web, Cat O&MM, Dealer Business System, Caterpillar software suites and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel spreadsheet, and Word processing in a Windows based environment; Will possess excellent analytical skills; Ability to prioritize duties, work both independently and within a team, and carry out assignments of varying complexity as well as considerable abilities in researching and analyzing machine history and repair information data; Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Background Training and Experience: Progressive experience focusing on Preventative Maintenance, predictive repairs, repair before failure, and a thorough understanding of consultative product support sales, service, and customer support concepts, or an equivalent combination of training and experience acceptable to the Company.
