Purpose: The Domestic Violence Awareness & Prevention program will address two needs: Create culturally specific, trauma informed programming for current criminal court-involved domestic perpetrators, and Provide credible, community-based resources that families can access on a voluntary basis for assistance with domestic issues before they rise to the level of a police or criminal justice intervention. Job Statement: The Case Manager provides intensive case management to clients involved in domestic violence matters either voluntarily or as mandated by the court. The Case Manager will conduct an intake assessment, provide 1-1 case management to build a family violence prevention plan that includes tools and resources, referrals to support changing abusive behaviors, building a healthy family lifestyle, and connections that support a higher level of care to begin the healing journey. Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree in human services, social work or related field and three (3) years of experience working with individuals or families in crisis that may include domestic violence or traumatic situations. Bachelor's degree, preferred. Two or more years of case management experience. Excellent oral, written and group communication skills to effectively interact with people of various ages, ethnic, cultural backgrounds, and economic status. Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining rapport with parents that leads to increased personal empowerment, self-sufficiency, and non-dependence. Experience, commitment, and resourcefulness in working disadvantaged low-income population from diverse cultures. Proven experience and the ability to perform programmatic and case management functions. Knowledgeable of community, educational and economic resources, and social services in North Minneapolis. Highly developed organizational skills and comfortable taking initiative. Valid driver's license, proof of current insurance and reliable transportation required. Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and computer client tracking databases.
