Maintenance Technician

Job Objective: This position is responsible to support various maintenance functions which shall include (however are not limited to) installation of new equipment, modifications to existing equipment, repairs, preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance. Responsibilities: Maintain and support Food Safety and Defense policies Perform all PM's, work orders, equipment repairs and installations as required Help start up and shut down support equipment every week. Perform equipment evaluations and identify equipment deficiencies Help organize and maintain spare parts inventory Support production in addressing maintenance issues as they are identified to maintain and improve safety, quality, and productivity as needed Must be able to work overtime and on call as required . Relationships and Roles: Internal / External Cooperation Proactively establishes and maintains effective working team relationships with all personnel, support departments and management levels. Maintains a strong work ethic to maintain competitive positioning and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Job Specifications and Education Requirements: High school degree or equivalent Associate Degree in electrical/electronic engineering technology preferred; or combination of education and experience Be able to work any shift and work overtime as required Knowledge of Blow mold equipment as well as resin material handling systems, chillers, air compressors, pumps, blowers, hydraulics and pneumatics, leak detectors, sleevers, and case erectors preferred Experience with (gears, bearings, pulleys, belts, etc.), pneumatics and hydraulics a plus Practical knowledge in the use of precision measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, etc. and the ability to safely operate shop tools such as cutoff saws, drill press, bench grinder, hydraulic press, vertical band saw, arc welders, acetylene torch and various other hand tools is essential. Proficiency required in repair/replacement/installation of various single and three phase electrical systems and components to include but not limited to motors, switches, wiring, conduit, PLC's data lines, communication lines, motor starters, contractors, fuses, light bulbs, encoders, and circuit breakers.
