DEPARTMENT: Office of Marketing and Communications TITLE: Videographer REPORTS TO: Director of Multimedia and Digital Strategy (DMMDS) REQUIREMENTS: The Videographer must have a minimum of an earned Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Business, or similar field, along with relevant experience in videography, social media, and digital marketing. The Videographer must have a strong working knowledge and passion for being creative and creating content in current, new, and emerging media. In order to do so, the Videographer must be able to utilize Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, Audacity or other media and photo editing software, and have experience with visual communication principles and web design. It is expected that the person within this role is able to multi-task, work under tight deadlines, and positively engage with different constituent groups on campus. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Videographer is responsible for responsible for creating digital content for Daemen University which includes the storyboarding, filming, and editing of original videos, advertisements, and commercials to help foster enrollment and promote the University brand. Additionally, the Videographer is responsible for creating a vision for social media usage on campus including maintaining the institution's main social media accounts. It is expected that the Videographer will stay current with trends in social media including content and platforms. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Create original video content for the university to use, post, and disseminate that help foster enrollment growth and the Daemen brand Provide support for social media content as outlined by the coordinator for that area Provide filming and video editing for promotion of campus events, use within social media and the website, and general institutional awareness campaigns Maintain an asset archive for video content that is searchable, easy to use and up-to-date within an agreed upon structure As needed, serve as a liaison/brand steward with external videographers Support all Marketing & Communications and Enrollment activities, as requested Provide additional support to the Director of Multimedia and Digital Strategy Other duties as assigned. TERMS: Position is full time, non-exempt and may require evening or weekend hours. COMPENSATION: Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
