Position Summary: Mission is to guarantee the conformity of a product/service to the requirements specified by our internal and external customers, and support quality on time and on cost delivery by delivering right first time to increase customer loyalty. In the frame of the A320 site expansion you will lead and drive the implementation of the Airbus Quality standards while respecting the Airbus BMS/QMS. Primary Responsibilities: Coordinate and guide the project team in applying the APQP methodology on the project. 30% For example: Contribute actively to the people/culture change management at PBB level Coordinate the application of APQP at PBB level : QPT / Applicability Matrix / APQP Risk Assessment Perform KBD assessments Monitor the overall action plan management at Work Package level with the support of the KBD Assessors Coach the PBB MFT in the application of APQP Consolidate the APQP progress sharing reports at PBB level Capture the Lessons Learnt and consolidate the improvements for the methodology Represent the PBB at project level Drive Process Adherence and lead process deployment in local areas, in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS), including compliance to all applicable regulatory (EASA, FAA), standards (EN9100/9110), policies, directives, processes and methods. Set the quality standard for both new service introduction at initial design before any process changes are made and continuously through the product life cyc le. 25% For example: prepare communications about project deployment Develop Process Support Documents Implement and maintain governance related to process execution Capture, prioritize and escalate process improvement feedback Support tool deployment Develop and manage Audit Plan and supporting activities Provide local inputs for risk mitigation plan Develop resources models Engage with various stakeholders (Production, Engineering, Suppliers, Customers, Subcontractor) and represent the Quality Department in Multi Functional Teams. As needed, convince and/or persuade others to follow ideas and proposals. 10% Enhance product conformity attestation system. 10% For example: Optimize learning path and predefined requirements, in order to produce highly qualified delegated inspectors Optimize Inspection Control Plan using the relevant control systems, tools and methods Support and/or manage quality aspects of subcontracted activities in line with General Conditions of Purchase Agreement ensuring compliance and performance. 10% Develop and deploy new KPIs based on Top Company Objectives and local operational targets to ensure that standards of Quality are improved and/or adapted where necessary 5% Additional Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned: 10 % Qualified Experience / Skills / Training: Education: Required: Bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering, industrial engineering, or similar discipline. May substitute relevant experience in place of the degree. Experience: Required: Minimum 5 years, preferably with an international aviation company in Aircraft Manufacturing/ Quality/Lean Management/ Quality Inspection of entire Aircraft or Aircraft installations Licensure/Certifications: Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities: Good Knowledge about non-conformance management and Root Cause Analysis methods within Airbus. Strong and effective Practical Problem Solving skills (demonstrable). Understanding of Kaizen approach to Manufacturing. Knowledge of the Production process and build cycle. Knowledge of rules for aircraft design and manufacturing Knowledge of aircraft mechanical & electrical installation. Familiar with the American aviation market, its Airlines and Airline Representatives Ability to quickly understand procedural and technical documents. Demonstrated project management skills Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages): Strong communication skills through all levels of the organization and Functions. Ability to adapt communication at different levels Strong international communication skills Strong presentation skills. Strong negotiation skills Ability to launch and host virtual meetings with Google Meet Technical Systems Proficiency: Familiar with SAP system (preferred) Travel Required: 10 % Domestic and International Eligibility: Authorized to Work in the US Clearance: None Decision Making, Complexity: Person will have decision making power within the guidelines and procedures linked to the listed responsibilities defined above. For example taking decisions at site MFTs (Multi-Functional Teams), SQCDPs (Safety Quality Customer Delivery, People routines), and cross-site or program levels. Person will have decision making power formally delegated to him/her from his/her manager. Person will have decision making power within the defined scope of SME (Subject Matter Expert) for which they can and may be nominated. Improvement of Customer satisfaction through improving the Quality of the Product/Process in front of the internal/external authorities Through engagement and behaviors drive people/teams to improve on current ways of working and standards to achieve excellence in manufacture/operations. Nature of Contacts: Involved Communication on a regular basis with internal and external parties Physical Requirements: Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions Hearing: able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings. Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals. Speaking: able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification. Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of personal and office electronic equipment. Working at a height of 15 feet on jigs at the fuselage. Able to work on hydraulic lifts up to a height of 40 feet. Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 55lbs/25kg Lifting: able to occasionally lift up to 55lbs/25kg. Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas. Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at the computer and in meetings. Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves. Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time. Travel: able to travel overseas and domestically sometimes for extended periods of time.
