Position Overview: The AR Lead manages the customer billing and collection process for Namaste Solar by m aintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts receivable transactions and ensuring timely payment is received for all services provided. The AR Lead is an important member of the accounting team and reports to the Accounting Manager. Essential Functions: Prepare and submit customer invoices. Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate billing. Process incoming mail at the Boulder office (requires a minimum of three half-days a week presence in the office). Process customer payments and apply them to the correct customer accounts. Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies. Communicate with customers via email and phone to resolve any outstanding account issues. Drive for a 2-hour response time during business hours. Lead collection activities while e nsuring compliance with all company AR policies and procedures. Gather facts about any disputes, refer the disputes to the appropriate department, and follow up on status until resolved. Monitor and report on overdue accounts and collection activities. Prepare routine AR reports and analysis. Maintain AR process documentation and continuously drive for efficiency improvements. Other duties as assigned. We are a small and nimble team, assisting each other as the work volume varies across the monthly and annual cycles. Qualifications: . Prior customer service experience. Prior experience tracing data through electronic systems like Sage Intacct and Salesforce. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and an internal drive to learn more. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong desire to provide amazing customer service. Standards & Expectations: Bring a willingness to advise immediately of any errors or significant adjustments as they occur. Bring impeccable organizational skills that support meeting deadlines while professionally juggling competing priorities. Tenacity to work through inconsistencies in computer systems with a calm can-do approach. Detail and process oriented. Solid understanding of business and financial issues. This is sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing, data entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organization, communication, and math skills. Hybrid office/home (or entirely office), Monday-Friday, flexible (but consistent) work hours.
