Mavis Tire - Network System Administrator Posting Description :Mavis Tire has experienced tremendous growth and is in search of a highly motivated, detail-oriented Network Systems Administrator to support our retail locations out of Millwood, NY. We are looking for someone who will continually learn and grow with us with. You will be part of a growing team of IT experts working to support and enhance the IT environments they manage.The Network Systems Administrator will provide escalated support & complete project-based work to ensure the security, reliability, and efficiency of the Mavis network environment. You should be self-motivated and be able to self-manage deadlines. The candidate should also be willing to work off-hours on critical issues. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Performs routine maintenance and support for Microsoft Windows Server operating systems Performs system application upgrades and migrations Deploys, monitors, and maintains network equipment Provides technical support escalation for the helpdesk and company users Develops our monitoring and alerting platforms to ensure that systems run smoothly Creates and maintains deployment and support documentation Works with developers to deploy applications and resolve issues Works closely with the Enterprise IT Support Team on projects, system support, network monitoring and other duties as assigned by the IT Manager. JOB REQUIREMENTS 3+ years of experience in a similar role Good written and verbal communication skills Experience supporting, upgrading, and migrating line of business applications Experience deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining Windows Servers including Active Directory in an enterprise environment Experience supporting network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VLAN, VPN, routing, wireless, etc.) in a multi-location topology Experience supporting virtualization and storage technologies Experience supporting firewalls Familiar with disaster recovery solutions Familiar with thin clients and terminal servers Must be able to manage time effectively and independently complete projects Must be able to work between the hours of 8:00AM and 5:00PM, Monday through Friday This position requires an on-site presence at our Operations Support Center in Millwood, NY.
