Barn & Horse Help, Groundskeeper, Handy Man needed in Canton for a six stall barn, home, and 7 acre property. All-around farm work, groundskeeper, and handy man to perform maintenance and general repair of property, barn and home. Stall cleaning is 5-days a week including weekends and holidays. The job itself includes, but is not limited to, stall cleaning, driving manure to site and churning piles, cutting overgrowth of weeds from pasture fence line, spreading seed, fertilizer and lime in pastures during appropriate times of the year, repairing broken fences as needed, dragging and maintaining arena, picking pastures, tidying dogs' pen, handyman work on home as needed, taking 3 garbage cans to and from the street one day a week, and maintaining neatness and physical condition of the property and barn. Horse handling involves feeding and turning out the horses, handling them for Farrier and vet visits, and you must already know or be willing to learn and use Parelli Natural Horsemanship handling techniques. Reliability, speaking and understanding English, conscientious to details and cleanliness, integrity, and a sound character is necessary. You must be able to work unsupervised and follow instructions. It is necessary that you can adjust your hours for horses' Summer and Winter time turn outs and stall cleaning. (Summer turnout: stalls must be cleaned at 4 or 5 p.m. Winter turnout, stalls must be cleaned in the mornings.) Hunters, liars and thieves please do not apply.
