Production Control Specialist 2nd shift Indiana Packers Corporation, Delphi Indiana The Production Control Specialist is responsible for coordinating and controlling Supplies and Inventory Assets. This position also reconciles all packaging used by operations. This includes balancing data of all items issued, used, and scraped compared to finished goods produced. In addition, this position will gather production data and applies statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram various production and packaging processes. The Production Control Specialist will spend most of their time in the plant, monitoring production lines for packaging use and scrap. This position will complete an inventory of all unused packaging left by operations daily, entry into IPSE and provide reports ongoing to trend and identify/investigate variances. Production Control Specialist will establish, maintain, and coordinate production control inventory reports in this area, while using a strong emphasis on teamwork. This position is needed for 8-10 hours a day including some Saturdays. Second Shift hours are from 2:00pm to 10:30pm. This position earns a competitive wage of $22.62 per hour for the second shift. Responsibilities Consolidate production inventory to daily reconciliation. Maintain accurate inventory for packaging material. Partnering with operations to identify waste by shift. Perform various audits on multiple shifts. Start controls per shift as needed. Utilize various technology and or systems to manage and maintain inventory databases. Conduct audits/counts to ensure that inventory levels are properly tracked and maintained. Create professional documents for inventory tracking purposes. Work with cross-functional groups to identify and improve inventory processes. Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor and or manager. To be successful in this manufacturing job, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be willing to flex time to other shifts as needed. Must have a passion for our mission and the ability to thrive in a high energy multifaceted environment. Able to handle multiple projects and meet established deadlines. Proficient in using desktop computer and tablet, as well as Microsoft Office software. Solid understanding of operations and departments is preferred. Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion and cooperation. Ability to work with little supervision and follow directions. Must possess organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Able to work in a team-oriented environment. Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Must be willing to work occasional overtime, both daily and weekend. Must be willing to work in the plant environment. Must wear proper PPE and follow all company safety policies and practices.
