JOB SUMMARY: A machine operator works with a team to operate a coating and laminating machine producing various window film products. The machine operator works closely with quality technicians to identify quality issues, perform quality checks, and remedy defects. The machine operator will focus on goals for quality, run time, and throughput. This is a role where increases are achieved based upon completion of documented expectations. Manufacturing, machine operation, CNC machine or similar experience would be beneficial, but not required. First shift: 6a-6pm Monday - Friday Second Shift: 2pm-11pm Monday-Friday Third shift - 6pm-6am or 10:30pm- 7am Monday - Friday ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform work in a safe fashion and adhering to all safety policies and practices. Learn the operation of coating and lamination machines. Set up of the machine, per the specified requirements Utilize documented trouble shooting skills to eliminate defects. Handling of master rolls employing mechanized equipment Experience with pumping and filtering system helpful Perform inspection and testing of materials for conformance to specifications. Documenting of machine conditions, product roll quality, and productivity. Adherence to all rules and regulations for the handling of hazardous waste and chemicals. Maintain a clean work area and machinery and uses 5S principles.
