Description:
The City of Tomball is accepting applications for the position of Construction Inspector. This position is responsible for the inspections of public improvement construction of streets, utilities, sidewalks, and drainage for compliance with local, state, and federal code, regulations, and specifications. This position is also responsible for inspecting and policing construction activities within all city right of ways and the inspection of certain private improvements. QUALIFICATIONS : High school diploma or GED equivalent 3 years of experience related to the civil engineering field (i.e. drafting, surveying, utility construction, or construction technology 1 year of experience with job inspections in the field, with experience inspecting all types of utility infrastructure including water, sewer, natural gas, streets, drainage, etc., preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office Class C License in water and wastewater preferred Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Valid Texas driver's license with acceptable driving record SALARY : Starting Salary: $52,611, Salary is dependent on qualifications Equal Employment Opportunity Statement - The City of Tomball does not discriminate on the basis of Race, Color, National Origin, Sex, Religion, Age or Disability in employment or the provision of services.
