SCHEDULE : 6:30am - 3:00pm M-F PAY FREQUENCY: Bi-Weekly PAY TYPE: Salary SUMMARY Children's Factory is a leading equipment manufacturer for the early childhood education market. The ideal candidate will have an ability to create and maintain an efficient system of operation to support the business needs. The candidate should be comfortable multitasking and working cross-functionally with different business units. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in related fields. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or Industrial Technology 3+ years of experience in a similar Operations role within a Plant Manufacturing environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, demonstrated problem solving skills and analytical skills Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively to a group of associates Experience with performance metrics and process improvement Excellent judgment and decision-making abilities Strong organizational and communication skills Strong ability to multitask Comfort working with multiple groups within business POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge of business, finance, and management principles Knowledge of engineering and technology principles and practices Skills in process improvement techniques Knowledge of Raw Materials Knowledge of quality systems and standards Understanding of health and safety standards and compliance Familiar with human resource principles and practices Highly proficient in Outlook and all MS Office programs Ability and desire to grow in the position and accept more responsibility. Ability to take initiative in providing new ideas to improve process efficiencies. Ability to maintain consistent attendance, arriving on time and prepared for all shifts, meetings, and appointments. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES, EXPECTATIONS, AND BEHAVIORS include, but are not limited to, the following: Establish and maintain business standards for accuracy, productivity and reliability Manage the daily functions of the business Managing to meet expectations regarding Standard Work, Gemba, reporting and root cause defects Responsible for managing associates to achieve operational metrics for areas of responsibility Conduct daily and weekly performance meetings Prepare annual performance review and reevaluate processes Ensure regulatory, compliance and legal rules are followed Manage budget to align with goals of business Conduct daily and weekly performance meetings Assess and develop future production and labor plans Interact with all support teams (quality, safety, HR etc.) to develop plans to meet business objectives Analyze and oversight of scheduling and staffing requirements for area of responsibility Volume planning/contingency planning Subject matter expert for all process areas in the station Ensuring process compliance and reporting for areas of responsibility (Safety, Quality, HR) Support team interaction and escalation for area of responsibility Develop an environment that drives performance while maintaining safe environment and ensure timely reporting Oversight and participation in ensuring appropriate performance management for associates Hard working and self-motivated Ability to manage in order to continually meet or exceed department performance goals In office attendance is an essential function of this position. WORKING CONDITIONS The essential functions of this job require the employee to perform the following physical activities: Regular use of PC, laptop, copier, fax, and other general office equipment. Ability to access all areas of the facility to perform essentials functions of the position. Noise level for this environment is low to moderate.
