SCHEDULE : 6:30am - 3:00pm M-F OVERTIME: During busy season, hours may be stretched to 9-10 hours with some Saturdays PAY FREQUENCY: Weekly SUMMARY Under general supervision performs a full range of skilled duties related to the maintenance, repair and cleaning of assigned buildings and facilities; may assists in skilled maintenance trades including plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and electrical; operates a variety of maintenance and repair tools and equipment; and maintains current records of maintenance and repair work. May receive functional supervision, technical training and work direction from the maintenance staff. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Minimum of High School Diploma or GED. Competency with Microsoft Office programs and basic computer skills. Formal training in Electrical, HVAC, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, basic plumbing, and carpentry is desired POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to read, analyze and interpret standard operating procedures, policies and work Ability to verify facts, dates and other information using standard reference sources; ability to communicate and effectively present information to management, co-workers, and others in small or large groups. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals, percentages, area, circumference and basic calculations. Ability to use electrical test equipment and precision measuring instruments. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to perform several tasks concurrently. Good analytical reasoning and ability to work remotely with tech service departments from the manufacturers of our various equipment Flexible to work in other areas or departments and performing other positions as the business requires. Pass mobile equipment test for all plant mobile equipment. Work at heights off a ladder for man lift up to 30'. Strong work ethic and efficient time management abilities required. Support Maintenance team with projects as assigned. Attendance is an essential function of this position. The employee must be able to repeatedly walk, lift, bend, stand, and stretch frequently throughout the day and lift to 50 pounds. Ability to work in a moderate noise level Ability to work outside or in the warehouse without climate control. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES, EXPECTATIONS, AND BEHAVIORS include, but are not limited to, the following: Train in the troubleshooting, adjustments, repairs, and/or fabrication of all mechanical, electrical to include PLC's) hydraulic, motor and pneumatic components of all plant equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment. Perform facilities maintenance and housekeeping. Learn to use sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment. Use of hand tools, power tools, and precision-measuring and testing instruments. Train in mechanical troubleshooting, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems issues. Calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, distances, and lengths. Develop the ability to read and interpret schematic drawing. Train in understanding the use of all electrical testing and repair equipment. Identify new and efficient improvement opportunities. Participate in lean/continuous improvement actions. Ensure 5S processes are being followed. Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely manner. Maintain all equipment logs to document adjustments and PM services. Learn to service all CNC equipment including air compressors, sewing machines, RF sealing machine, foam grinder, dock doors and other equipment that may be installed. WORKING CONDITIONS The essential functions of this job require the employee to perform the following physical activities: The employee must be able to repeatedly walk, lift, bend, stand, and stretch frequently throughout the day and lift to 50 pounds. The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate. Working outside or in the warehouse without climate control.
