Title: Paraprofessional Teacher Company: Children's Habilitation Center Website: https://childhabcenter.com/ Compensation: $18-22.00 depending on experience /hr; Classification: Full Time; Non-Exempt Reports to: Director of Education Supervisor Responsibilities: No Location: 121 W. 154th St in Harvey, IL Shift: 7a - 3:30pm Purpose: The Paraprofessional Teacher implements educational programming per the Individual Education Plan in compliance with CHC policies and procedures . Responsibilities: Facilitates student work and implements classroom routine. Implements lesson plans designed by teacher. Works directly with students, individually or in groups, on assigned programs Complete daily documentation Keeps classroom & equipment organized. Participates on education committees as assigned. Distributes classroom materials. Participates in field trips and special events. Participates in collaboration within the department and all other disciplines. Participates in quality improvement activities. Responsible for daily classroom attendance. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent Paraprofessional certification is required Experience working with students with complex medical needs and intellectual disabilities. Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug testing Experience working with various socioeconomic populations is a plus. Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
