LOWER SCHOOL TEACHING POSITION GRADES 1 and 2 This is a full time position within the Lower School reporting to the Head of Lower School. Major Responsibilities: Create an intellectually challenging program informed by developmentally appropriate and research-based practices that is inquiry-based, rigorous, and integrates culturally responsive pedagogy Design curriculum using a backwards curriculum planning model aligning with the PreK-12 spiral Individualize and differentiate instruction, nurture wellbeing, and be able to motivate and challenge students utilizing a variety of instructional and assessment methods Assume responsibility for all work included in a fulltime teaching assignment including progress reports, conferences and home/school communication, scheduling, duties, etc. Integrate technology to enrich student learning Cultivate a sense of community, social responsibility, and an appreciation and respect for individual differences Work closely and cooperatively with colleagues and administrative teams Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, kindness, enthusiasm, a sense of humor, willingness to learn and grow professionally, a cooperative spirit and a commitment to teamwork Qualifications: The successful candidate must...
