BASIC FUNCTION: The Assistant Group Supervisor will be responsible for assisting with the planning, development, and implementation of all classroom activities such as gross motor games and exciting art activities. Being responsible for the safety of the children at all times, including understanding and being able to implement emergency procedures as necessary.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Developing and administering small group activities that include music, games, art, science, and stories.· Being responsible for the safety of the children at all times, including understanding and being able to implement emergency procedures as necessary.· Supporting the program and the goals of the YMCA· Assuming all other duties as requested.· Promote the YMCA mission. Attend trainings and meetings when scheduled.· Be a positive example of the YMCA to the members and participants.· Maintain professional conduct and a neat appearance consistent with the Child Care Dress Policy.· Perform all other functions as assigned, relative to the welfare of the association QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma required Associate or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred 2 years of previous experience preferred Passes all required background checks Locations: Baden Academy OUR CULTURE: At the Y, strengthening community is our cause.
