Summary: Assists in overseeing and providing a safe environment for patrons nd responding to incidents in an efficient and appropriate manner Work Hours : The scheduled work hours for this position vary and are determined by operational needs, facility demands and/or event schedules. Hours may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, applicants should be able to perform each essential duty in an efficient, effective and safe manner. The duties listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties. Essential Duties Include , but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned Monitor patrons and guests at City owned/operated swimming facilities to ensure safe environment. Explain and enforce swimming facility rules and regulations. Respond to accidents/injuries in Maintain facility cleanliness Education/Experience: Must be certified in CPR/First Aid and Lifesaving. Previous lifeguarding experience preferred, but not necessarily required.
