Position Overview Under the direction of the Environmental Cleaning and Laundry Services Supervisor, the Cleaner I will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and aesthetically pleasing environment for patients, residents, families and staff. Experience One-year health care related experience preferred. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Minimum Grade 10 education or equivalent required. Certification/Licensure/Registration Not Applicable Qualifications and Skills Ability to follow sanitation and hygiene standards. Ability to adhere to all Workplace Safety and Health policies and procedures and safe work practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the demonstrated ability to accurately speak, read, write and comprehend English. Ability to follow directions and perform routine repetitive work routines. Ability to accept changes in routine/work assignment and maintain workflow. Demonstrates effective time management and organizational skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters pertaining to the hospital, residents/patients and their families.
