Position Title: Global Robotic Systems Engineer Position Type: Regular - Full-Time Position Location: Florenceville Main Requisition ID: 27002 SUMMARY: This is a highly critical role who will interface closely with Global and regional engineering & supply chain organizations to design, develop and implement innovative robotic and automation technologies across the company. Additionally, this role will develop and own the global innovative robotic and automation engineering design standards. A key member of the new Robotic Centre of Excellence (COE). Opportunity to interface and influence across the company and senior stakeholders. Looking for an energetic, passionate leader who can help pave the future for Mc Cain. Candidates will primarily work at the Robotics Centre of Excellence in Fredericton but will need to travel to our main office in Florenceville as necessary. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Design and develop robotics and automation solutions. Design, develop and program robotic sensors and control systems. Design and test robotic solution simulations Design, build and operate robotic system test assemblies. Construct, configure, test, and debug robotic and automation systems. Collaborate with fellow engineers, project managers, plants, and other stakeholders to understand the requirements and scope of the robotics and automation project. Ensure that robotic machines and automation systems operate safely, dependably, and with precision; identifies and implements modifications. Provide technical support and troubleshooting services for robotic and automation systems. Recommend, develop, and implement enhancements and improvements to increase production volume or precision in high-throughput operations. Maintain documentation of development process, modifications, maintenance requirements, and other data. Assist with cost estimates, project calculations and project management.
