The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Department of Anesthesia is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to perform preoperative patient evaluation and coordinate the anesthetic plan in collaboration with the anesthesia faculty physician; administer the anesthetic plan with a team approach in all anesthetizing locations; perform postoperative patient evaluation and care. Duties include but are not limited to:* Perform clinical anesthesia services. * Provide educational assistance with faculty physicians for the needs of nurse anesthesia students, medical students, residents, and other trainees. * Attend continuing education conferences and seminars in order to maintain Recertification through the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists. * Models and promotes systems change across campus to promote professional conduct and behavior of the highest integrity, exhibiting utmost respect for all members of the University community; demonstrate a commitment to an inclusive environment and nurtures a culture where every employee feels valued and is able to function at his/her best. * Communicates expectations and provides support and resources that are in alignment with the vision and strategic planning of the University to foster creativity and innovation in the workplace. * Create a culture of continuous learning through strategic planning, shared governance, innovative best practices, and the promotion of knowledge development.University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics-recognized as one of the best hospitals in the United States-is Iowa's only comprehensive academic medical center and a regional referral center.
