Position Overview Under the direction of the Clinical Manager, and in collaboration with the Clinical Educators, the Clinical Practice Facilitator (CPF) is responsible for providing clinical expertise, guidance, mentoring, and support to nurses and support staff who are new to the 2South, 4North, 4South, and SDC. The incumbent serves as a positive role model of excellence in professional practice, demonstrating a positive attitude and a commitment to the vision, values, and goals of the unit/facility/region, and promoting an interdisciplinary, patient-centered approach to care based on best available research evidence. The incumbent fosters growth of the new staff member within an effective mentoring relationship while supporting self-learning objectives. Experience A minimum of three (3) years current Surgery clinical experience is required. Demonstrated clinical competence required. Recent experience as a preceptor or mentor preferred. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Graduate of an approved School of Nursing required. Bachelor of Nursing Degree, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree preferred.
