AccessOne has 3 openings for: Computer Support Technician We're looking for someone that can answer phones, interact with customers in our office environment, field all technical questions, handle sales while also being able to focus on repairing PC and Macs in the repair queue. Must be professional and friendly; with a willingness to help. Applicant would be responsible for PC and out of warranty Mac repairs as well as managing the overall success of the tech center. Must be comfortable work with ASD materials and be familiar with all safety precautions. Installs, tests, formats and resolves problems with computer hardware and software; manages help desk tracking and assists customers and staff development; assists with phone, copy and mobile technology; provides technical support, training and direction to staff for staff utilizing the WAN or LAN; assists with inventory tracking and maintenance; assists with infrastructure installation, repair and maintenance. The individual in this position will be relied upon to build lasting client relationships by adding value to AccessOne products and services. Duties: Responsible for the installation, servicing and upgrading of PC equipment, mainframe connections, and peripherals and responds to user requests Troubleshoots and repairs computer software, hardware, and network configurations Provides technical and user support PC components, mainframe networking, and LAN-based systems. May be internal or external client-focused Applies job skills and company policies and procedures Interacts daily with supervisors and/or functional peer groups We re Looking for Great People who: be comfortable assembly and disassembling a desktop PC in a timely manner. know the difference between SATA and PATA possess an extensive knowledge of hardware components be comfortable working with email issues have some server experience know how to remove the keyboard on an iBook G4 be able to list 5 differences between OS X 10.5 Leopard and OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard be able to explain the difference between RAM, Processor, Motherboard, Hard Drive and Power Supply be able to technical differentiate between USB and FireWire and all associated specs know what the minimal system configuration of a PC is be able to differentiate between PPC and Intel Macs be able to perform system tune-ups (virus removal, OS optimization) familiarity with technology and ability to problem solve technical issues knowledge of Windows XP, Windows 7, Mac OS appropriate educational software applications can handle Record-keeping requirements can provide outstanding and award-winning Customer Service and are able to pay Attention to Detail have experience in troubleshooting PC's and Mobile devices To be Successful in this position you must: posses previous customer service experience have at least 1-5-years of relevant experience be well organized be familiar with remote support technologies be able to speak in layman's terms about a complex issue be able to troubleshoot advanced OS issues be comfortable interacting with colleagues and customers be able to appraise the value of a machine to its FMV be comfortable setting up and working with RAID arrays be able to set up and troubleshoot networks have extensive computer repair experience be able to handle themselves under pressure have a desire to learn about technology A+, Linux LAMP and Microsoft Exchange experience is a plus Incentives: Supervisor or team leader Please feel free to email ...
