Provide input into solution approach and software estimates Responsible for partners with requirements to identify requirements approach, necessary artifacts and determine who will delivery which artifacts Accepting requirements on behalf of Client's Group Software Engineering and Delivery (GSED) team Provide design guidance and direction to designers - may own some deliverables Design standards and governing adherence by delivery partners Ensure all design is properly reviewed for quality Ensure delivery partners are using agreed upon standards and artifacts as well identifies design dependencies Responsible for partnering with Solution Architecture in detailing next level of the solution and making key design decisions Accountable for the end-to-end solution for assigned scope Partners with Solution Architecture to complete Application Security Review (ASR) Escalates design issues and risks to Software Delivery Lead (SDL) Provides development guidance and direction to developers - may own some deliverables Accountable for development standards and governing adherence by delivery partners Responsible for defining code review approach and ensures all code is properly 'reviewed' for quality as well as manages code traceability with design as well as identifies development dependencies Accountable for ALM setup and usage for a given initiative partnering with Software Operational Delivery Services (SODS) team Define code packaging and deployment strategy for a given initiatives Provide impact assessment for change management Escalate development issues and risks to SDL Partner with QA to identify optimal test strategy, approach and plan as well as represents GSED in defect triage sessions Root cause analysis, review of defect fixes prior to deployment, and identifying defect trends and prevention opportunities Provide required input in Software Implementation by providing input to RunBooks and Implementation Plan, and leads detailed implementation activities Represent GSED in warranty defect triage session Skills Set technical direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace; execute with limited information and ambiguity Ability to navigate matrixed organizations effectively Ability to identify and implement required actions quickly in order to accomplish goals, eliminate roadblocks, and create focus Possess knowledge and expertise in the use of various delivery methodologies (waterfall and iterative) and have a clear understanding of human resources policies/practices and change management techniques Technical expertise in architectural principles and design aspects of various application and DBMS concepts
