Matrix Providers is offering an opportunity for a civilian Clinical Nurse in Pain Management to provide services to our soldiers and their families at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, CA. 8, 10, or 12 Hour Schedules Exceptional Salary - Relocation & Bonus Options Financial package designed to attract compassionate, top performers Comprehensive benefits package to include major medical, dental and vision plans, 401k Paid time-off and holidays Relocation and bonus options Malpractice provided with tail coverage The Clinical Nurse in Pain Management will have the following qualifications: A working knowledge of the military health care system including TRICARE health benefits or a working knowledge of the principles of fee-for-services, preferred provider network and managed care/HMO organizations. Knowledge of a variety of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment, the desired effects, side effects, and complications of their use to include knowledge of the administrative requirements for proper documentation of patients condition including disease progress, acknowledgement of teaching, and follow up care. A bachelor of nursing degree and current RN certification; and at least 24 months experience in direct clinical practice within the last 36 months. Also, at least 24 months experience in acute or chronic pain after completion of RN certification (eligible clinics include Pain Management, Emergency Department, Oncology, Orthopedics or Neurology). 24 months of experience within the last 72 months in a Pain Clinic or equivalent service (Intensive Care Unit, Oncology, or Emergency Room) Certification in BLS and ACLS with cognitive and skills training/assessment; and moderate sedation experience with a minimum of 100 sedation cases.
