Certified Medical Assistant For General Surgery Private Practice! Competitive pay structure with benefits. Location: Winchester, MA This is a full-time position Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Must have experience as a Surgical Medical Assistant. Wonderful Doctors and Staff! Description Team-oriented Medical assistant that will be focused on the General Surgery clinic to support the General Surgery and patient populations. The successful candidate should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, exhibit flexibility, be detail oriented, and demonstrate an ability to multi-task. Applicant should have a desire to work with a variety of patients, providers and staff. Duties include telephone triage, chart review and following up on lab results, coordination of care, patient education, assisting patients with transitions of care, and assisting with population management. Qualifications Completion of a Medical Assisting program accredited by either the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accreditation Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) OR meets the work eligibility (employed as a medical assistant for a minimum of five out of the last seven years, no more than two years of which may have been as an instructor in a post- secondary medical assistant program. Work experience must include both clinical and administrative duties) required by American Medical Technologists (AMT). Medical Assistant certification by either the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), National Healthcareer Association (CCMA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA).
