Date Posted: 12/13/2023 Closing Date: 01/22/2024 , 11:59PM ET Req ID: 35367 Job Category: Faculty - Clinical Faculty/Division: Temerty Faculty of Medicine Department: Dept of Medicine Hospital Affiliation: University Health Network (UHN) & Sinai Health System (SHS) Campus: St. George (Downtown Toronto) Description: The Department of Medicine and the Division of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics at Sinai Health System and the University Health Network in collaboration with the Department of Medicine and the Division of Geriatric Medicine at the University of Toronto are seeking to recruit up to a maximum of 2 qualified full-time academic geriatricians with an academic position description of a Clinicians in Quality & Innovation or Clinician Teacher. Successful candidates would be hired through either the fully-affiliated Toronto Academic Health Sciences Network members Sinai Health System or the University Health Network. Successful candidates must be eligible for a Full-Time Clinical Academic Appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. The effective start date of the appointments is July 1, 2024, or a mutually agreeable date. These individuals will provide exemplary patient-centred care and will be expected to participate in the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs of the University of Toronto as appropriate. For applicants being considered for appointment as a Clinician Teacher, excellence will be backssed by the presence of scholarly contributions to teaching and education as evidenced by teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level, teaching awards, pedagogical innovation and curriculum development. For Clinician in Quality and Innovation, excellence will be backssed by advanced training in quality improvement or equivalent, successful quality improvement initiatives, evidence of practice and/or equipment innovations, and invitations to significant conferences, and accolades. .
