Fort Bend Independent School District is seeking qualified applicants for the following position: Assistant Middle School Principal School Year: 2024-2025 Location: TBD Job Overview: The Assistant Principal assists the principal of an individual school to ensure high standards of student performance in a safe learning environment that supports the delivery of the approved curricula and meets the mission and vision of the school. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the above essential duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities, required unless otherwise stated as preferred. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Master's Degree Valid Texas Mid-Management or Principal Certification Advancing Educational Leadership (AEL) certificate or its equivalent Instructional Leadership Development (ILD or ILT) or must be obtained within 3 months of the start date as designated by the Department of School Leadership Board Approved T-TESS Certification or must be obtained within 3 months of the start date as designated by the Department of School Leadership Minimum of 2 years classroom teaching experience, preferably at the assigned level additional leadership experience on a campus or otherwise Possess a moral and ethical compass Demonstrate a heart and passion for leadership Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction Ability to evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness Ability to manage personnel Ability to coordinate campus functions Ability to implement policy and procedures Ability to interpret data Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
