Date Posted: 10/30/2023 Closing Date: 01/07/2024 , 11:59PM ET Req ID: 34713 Job Category: Faculty - Clinical Faculty/Division: Temerty Faculty of Medicine Department: Dept of Medicine Hospital Affiliation: Sunnybrook Health Science Centre Campus: St. George (Downtown Toronto) Description: This posting has been extended to January 7th, 2024 The Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto and the Division of Rheumatology, Department of Medicine at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre are inviting applications to fill two Academic Rheumatologist positions. These Full-Time positions will be eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Toronto with a position description of Clinician Investigator or Clinician Teacher at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. The Clinician Investigator position is expected to be 50% clinical and 50% related to research (with some teaching and/or administrative) duties. The Clinician Teacher position is expected to be 70% clinical and 30% related to educational (with some administrative) duties. Expected start date is July 1, 2024, or another mutually agreeable date thereafter. The successful candidates should have clinical expertise in complex rheumatic conditions, with experience caring for patients with systemic autoimmune rheumatic diseases in the context of pregnancy as well as renal/neurologic/oncologic conditions being welcomed assets. Expertise in point-of-care ultrasound and model of care in rheumatology will be an asset. For candidates applying for the Clinician Investigator role, research excellence will be backssed by the presence of research grants, publications in leading journals, invited presentations at significant conferences, awards, accolades and other related accomplishments. For candidates applying for the Clinician Teacher role, should have advanced training and/or a track record of teaching accomplishment. Teaching accomplishment will be measured by the presence.
