As a Business Analyst on the Ample team, you will help solve complex challenges involving electric vehicles, robotics and smart battery technology. The Ample team is small, passionate, highly capable and eager to have like-minded individuals join. If the technology doesn’t exist, we’re not afraid to envision a path to success and then build it, while always keeping in mind it must be designed for reliability, affordability and easy deployment. Responsibilities: • Support Ample’s Business development / Executive team by providing data analysis, presentations, spreadsheet models, and market research which elevates and transforms business opportunities into outcome driven/actionable activities • Decompose complex business problems into their constituent parts for analysis; identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in operational data sets • Drive strategic actionable insights from operational analysis and locate new business opportunities • Develop relevant and consistent practices and procedures for data analytics and reporting • Work with our operational business partners to understand their strategies to build the data to support their business goals and objectives • Conduct Data Analysis and modeling for automotive fleets, partners and a variety of market segments • Take ownership of providing operational analytical insights, analysis, data visualizations, and measurements of key strategic business objectives to help shape future direction • Assist with ad hoc analytical projects and tasks, as assigned Requirements: • Prefer candidate who is Currently living and authorized to work in either Madrid, Spain or San Francisco, CA, but will consider remote work for the right candidate. • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or similar quantitative STEM field; prefer advanced degree • Proven experience Turning Data into Information, Information into Insights and Insights into Valuable Action in an investment banking or consultancy type environment (or similar) • 3-5+ years utilizing methods and tools to extract, curate, explore and analyze data from large data sources and effectively communicating the derived key operational data insights • Experienced in statistical analysis, regression analysis, hypotheses testing, probability concepts & correlation analysis • Master in data analysis and data mining languages (SAS, SQL, R, Python) • Experienced utilizing data visualization tools to effectively communicate key data insights (e.g. Tableau, Qlik) • Advanced SAS, Business Objects skills • Expert in Excel and PowerPoint • Strong analytical mindset and ability to use data and logic to make compelling business cases • Ability to decompose complex business problems into their constituent parts • Blend of strategic and tactical thinking, creative and analytic reasoning • Comfortable working with tight deadlines; must be proactive and able to multi-task • Successful record of accomplishment in a fast paced, dynamic environment • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Proven collaborator that is skilled in bringing insights from data to life Bonus Skills: • Automotive fleet experience or market knowledge • Ability to deliver presentations to all audience types (technical, business, executive, etc.) We are an Equal Opportunity and E-verified Employer and promote cultural diversity
