About You As the Director of Product Marketing, you will develop an overarching product marketing strategy, pricing strategy, and product architecture to supports business goals, sales objectives, and revenue targets for delivering new products and product enhancements to market. This is a key role at the heart of all operations, from product development to marketing to sales. The Director of Product Marketing is a seasoned leader who brings a strong history of Product Marketing leadership experience in the B2B technology space, overseeing the go-to-market strategies for all products and services. The ideal candidate will have previous strategic marketing and product marketing experience in a venture-backed or public labor marketplace such as Uber, Instacart, Amazon, DoorDash, Grubhub, etc. complemented by experience within the labor recruitment industry (e.g. Wonolo, Shiftgig, CareerBuilder, Monster, Manpower, etc.). This is a 100% remote role. Your Responsibilities: • Develop and execute on strategies to bring new products, features, and/or services to market with a focus on defining market challenges, SWOT analysis and understanding of the competitive landscape for each product. • Liaise with the Product Management team to represent marketing objectives throughout the product planning and discovery process, including market trends, consumer behavior, buying personas, and competitive differentiators within the product landscape. • Lead product marketing initiatives and make data-driven decisions to move the team and product forward and hit company goals. • Gathering competitive intelligence and putting together competitive reports. • Using the above intel to help sales with content creation, one-pagers, marketing blurbs, social media content, pitch decks, etc. • Manage automated email campaigns, create landing pages and associated campaigns, handle lead imports and monitor campaign results. • Measure and optimize the buyer journey as it relates to product feature adoption and usage. • Provide useful and ongoing measurement and performance review of product launch marketing strategies and tactics while continuously optimizing performance. • Work as a part of a collaborative marketing, product and leadership team on the planning, development and design of overall product strategy from product initiation decision through the end of the product life cycle • Collaborate with outside marketing consultants on an as needed basis. Qualifications: • Proven and visible marketer, with at least 12+ years of experience determining product-market fit and delivering products to market, preferably in a SaaS or financial services environment. • At least 5 years of experience managing high performing product marketing teams • 5+ years experience in a B2B marketing demand generation role • 5+ years creating and executing email marketing campaigns • Deep understanding of digital demand generation, including inbound and outbound campaigns, paid search, marketing automation, and process best practices • Experience with SEO and email automation, • Prior experience with GSuite, MQL, SQL, Basic HTML, Excel, and Google Sheets • Demonstrated written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where strategies or campaigns can quickly shift as business needs warrant • Ability to support and drive productivity from distributed teams, while balancing competing priorities • Creative, self-motivated, and analytical • Have worked with both product and marketing teams at a startup or agency Perks/Comp: • Competitive market salary (based on experience) • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision • Competitive vacation policy • Stock Options • Remote work with quarterly onsite team member meetings This role can be remote (anywhere in the continental United States) but Chicago, IL is preferred as the company operates under the Central Time Zone (CST).
